Why Newry in Ireland is a great vacation spot
The town of Newry in Northern Ireland is a fairly tiny place yet in spite of this there’s so much to do, it can be tricky to fit it all in to your trip. I do know any time you get to any new town for the first time it could be a little bit scary but I thought I would write down several of my favourite activities to do while you are there.
Costs are generally a consideration for any activity I plan on doing inside a new city since keeping expenses down is usually important. One of the lowest priced things to do is visiting the two major shopping centres in the middle of the town like the Quays as well as Buttercrane which have plenty of car parking. I realize that shopping is normally associated with spending money but there are plenty of affordable cafes and knick-knack stores and there’s invariably window shopping too.
A much-loved hobby of mine is definitely go-karting and Newry has an exceptional race track on the outside of the town which offers affordable prices for both children and older people. You can buy one hour on the race track for under $50 dollars which I think is really excellent value and racing around this impressive race track is a real kick. Regardless of whether you’re in no way into go-karting there is a coffee shop and observation area so you can just unwind and watch.
Following a very long day there’s nothing better than a glass or two inside a vintage Irish pub and one of my favourites is Bellinis that’s positioned right in the center of Newry. The first thing I enjoy regarding the bar is that the local people go there to hang out as well and it’s not just other travellers that you’re going to meet. I’ve generally believed that getting to know local people is paramount to an interesting journey just about anywhere because it is the answer to getting an authentic flavour of the local lifestyle.
Hopefully this guide provides you with a number of tips on just how to make the best of your vacation in Newry.
